photo exercise * 10 second frames

so i simply wanted to go out the other day and do something new with my camera.  there are still a few features i’ve yet to have experimented with.  i figured i had some time to experiment, so i started with the d700 “interval timer.” a.k.a the time lapse function.  i didn’t really have a cool idea for a time lapse project, or the time to actually man a time lapse shoot…  instead i came up with a photo exercise for myself.  i picked a song and figured out that i needed about 90 images to complete a slide show if i had a new image for every down beat in the song.  lost you yet…?  anyways, i set my camera to take 94 images in 10 second intervals.  the challenge was that i needed to walk, search, recompose and focus all in 10 seconds for about 18 minutes.  it really was quite the exercise, and even though most of the images were nothing to write home about, some were pretty cool.  sometimes it’s fun to do some a little different for the sake of doing something different.  below is the resulting slideshow.
