when we asked where whitney and mike would like to do their engagement session, they surprised us and said helen, georgia. not only did it get us out of atlanta and in a new location for a session, but we both used to go as kids and it was so much fun to revisit! if you’ve never been or heard of helen, you should check this out. it’s definitely one of a kind!
anyway, we had WAY too much fun with whitney and mike. here’s some proof.

we took this photo right before we went inside and bought some chocolate-covered strawberries! Mmmmmm…

after a 5 minute rain storm, we found this playground and well, let’s just say we weren’t really acting our age… and it was the best time ever.

hangin’ from the monkey bars – very spiderman-like, don’tcha think?

imagine all 4 of us on this see-saw thing, with chris and i holding cameras. hilarious to say the least.

chris had to stop at the dutch candy store to stock up… i wouldn’t really call that stuff candy, though. salty licorice? come on!

very nice!

before this next set of photos, we stopped for dinner. we walked into a restaurant that had maybe 6 tables in it. not only were we greeted with a german-clad, accordian-playing man with “it’s some new people! where are you from?”, but we got to listen to him sing the chicken dance song. yes… the chicken dance song. it was actually quite entertaining. if you don’t believe me, listen to this : http://tmic.fm/otbqo4zisi8 (chris is really loud, so turn down your speakers).
these next photos were taken at nora mills. we definitely bought some grits and funnel cake mix while we were there!

they’re so sweet together

can i just say how blessed we are to be able to take photos of such amazing couples?
whitney + mike : thank you so much for suggesting helen and showing us a great time! can’t wait to hang out again. :)
