meet heidi and jeff. they are close friends of ours from my work in the theater scene in atlanta. i’ve worked as a sound designer for heidi many a times, she is an absolutely fabulous director. jeff is one of the funniest, wittiest and professional actors i’ve had the pleasure of working with on a regular basis. shooting their wedding was a pure honor for us. i usually don’t get all gushy, but this was the first wedding in a while i teared and got choked up at. it wasn’t just because they are friends or anything like that… there was a beauty, reverence and honesty that you don’t usually see at weddings between 20-something/young 30-something couples. watching heidi and jeff say their vows, i knew the words came from a place of surrender, depth and understanding only people who didn’t start their lives together could speak. it has shown me the power and importance of renewing my vows with allie. *to everyone else, including allie and i* every so often remembering and reciting the words that you spoke on your day, i believe will strengthen and solidify your love and commitment to each other. the vows mean more as life goes on, and for the moments at their wedding, i was simply swept away by the beauty of this thought.
heidi + jeff. we love you.
sunflowers make me happy.
